I am convinced most people aren’t religious, or at least agnostic. If they truly were they’d not be living like they are and wouldn’t give a shit about anything but their holy book. I call it being alibi-religious.

I might be missing something, but they could just mass validate 100 IDs in person, without logging anything, then mix/shuffle 100 “person is an adult” codes (or even multiple per person) that aren’t directly connected to anyone and hand these out at random.
This way neither the government, nor the website knows your real ID and your age can still be verified.
Edit: Sure you can still somewhat be tracked by these codes, but this may be mitigated by handing out new or multiple codes and having them expire.

Thanks for letting me know.
I hope it isn’t mandatory, because that would be undeniable indoctrination, but I imagine there is social pressure anyways. It’s good to hear that some states don’t do it. I hope it becomes less and less common in the future.

As a german, the standing up to the american flag and sometimes pledging your allegiance in schools is some insane north korea shit to me. Does that still happen?

This is super true. The more IT savvy you are (especially network administration and app development), the more you end up thinking “how the fuck is this legal and no one cares?”.
Edit: Forgot to mention OSINT and pentesting as they are obvious.
How often I have seen older peoples unhinged comments on explicit posts, while having their photo, full legal name and sometimes their address and phone number on public display is insane.
Telling them this and running wireshark on their device, explaining the logs in simple terms could change their minds.

I think a lot of Americans are about to find out why privacy was and is important.
Also, an expert gathering OSINT about someone will make anyone shit their pants (this can be illegal, don’t do it, unless you have written consent).

None of these are verifiably private. SimpleX, Matrix and PGP encrypted messages (you can use any messenger here) are some truly private options.

I wouldn’t trust proton. Data this sensitive has to be stored offline (unless you sent it encrypted) and only accessed with 100% open source software (no proprietary blobs). If you want to go extra tinfoil hat compile it yourself.
Edit: Left side recommendations are good, though.
God doesn’t exist (though there is a tiny, tiny chance there’s some higher power that doesn’t intervene, because the human intelligence gap is unreasonably huge, making humans undeniably special)
Every organized religion is a cult
Free will is an illusion
Aliens most likely exist, given the insane size of the universe and we know life can exist here
Humans will still always give in to their brutal tribal instincts and that’s why the world is how it is

Heroes of Might and Magic 3

Thanks, I will definitely keep this in mind. Currently using OpenWRT with LuCI-adblock, which is not quite as extensive as a PiHole, but gets the job done. I have three RaspberryPi 3’s just collecting dust so I may as well switch at some point.
This is a german thing, but “Camp David” shirts are the first thing that come to mind. There is a good possibility the person wearing it is the most dense and arrogant person you’ll ever meet.
Könnt ihr doch sicher bestätigen Germanbros, oder?
