Without some serious ECM re-programming from someone that knows what they’re doing (which is very unlikely), probably not. Pretty sure they’re referencing OBDII protocol (or whatever the current standard is) in this context.
Having said that, it’s probably only an issue when taking to the dealer for anything. Your everyday, local mechanic likely only cares about the diagnostic codes that might be active and point to the issue at hand.

It’s probably more than just this, but if anything audio related, you could try to come up with a poisonify device to fuck with it.

I think specific solutions for each type of content would be better in the long term if you have a lot of stuff to host, and management/organization will be better since they are catered to whatever the content type is.
Others have already said it, Audiobookshelf is a good one. For EBooks though, I would highly recommend Calibre Content server. Calibre is pretty much the defacto open source EBook manager out there, a lot of features and abilities specific to ereaders and ebooks of all formats.

Doesn’t matter what the GPS app is really (although I always recommend OrganicMaps), most all of them have a way to copy your current location and also snap to a pasted coordinate.

Especially if all you want to do is access your own server from outside your local off-grid network, then the free tier of the above service is probably perfect. Paid tiers give you a bit more features and can use your own TLD; Oracle also offers something similar that is paid.
I agree with you. One possible way to rectify the meme is to change “determined by” to “adapting to” or something along those lines. I think that’s what the meme is actually trying to say, but used the wrong words.
This has been, and will probably continue to be, and ongoing issue. Google is working hard to block VPN and Data Center IPs at a network level when using their API. Usually we get patches within days when an episode like this flairs up, but some times that also triggers even more action from Google to change their methods. Usually it’s an issue with the underlying libraries being used like yt-dlp, youtube.js, or invidious API; meaning all YT circumvention apps get affected at the same time (e.g., FreeTube uses Invidious API).
Constant cat and mouse game. I usually try FreeTube first, if that fails I’ll try 2 Invidious instances that usually work well (one self-hosted, the other inv.nadeko.net), then I try Grayjay, and failing all of that I’m just not watching the video right now.

If you feel bad about it, then stop using it, period. Life isn’t easy, and the way that modern society tries to make convenience the number one goal is a crock of shit. Plan to put effort into your life, you will 1) get more out of it and 2) be less unprepared when situations arise. As a start, maybe practice typing while you talk and dictate your own thoughts into an offline app like Notepad++ or LibreOffice. You’ll have the exact same, identical end-result, except you will have done it all using your own abilities. Remember, the typewriter existed long before the computer, and certainly much longer than LLMs. Even Speech-to-Text systems have existed much longer than LLMs…
Or just do like you mentioned, fully embrace wilful ignorance and suppress whatever makes you feel uneasy about using GPT. Eventually, you’ll condition yourself into a perfect crop.

It’s not the core of the issue, but the average joe that is a hobbyist self-hoster it will be.
IMO, the core issue is that there is no standard whatsoever. People just do whatever the hell they want with these records, pretty much. Microsoft and Google do it differently than each other, even.

Yea, if you are not willing to be meticulous about learning/understanding all the DNS stuff (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), and plan to host this at home, don’t.
I ran this same system for a very long time on a VPS and had no problems with blacklists, but I’m also a career systems engineer that maintained enterprise systems and exchange servers.

I think the better option is to try and avoid email as much as you can, just like SMS. Outdated tech and not secure. At that point, any ol’ existing email service is good enough.
