Yeah, it’s been solid/stable but no new developments until 1.3 is coming. You can download the pre-release version if you want to try it again, because that version has zoom options. I imagine that’s what you missed, unless you meant something else with older versions not handling high res well

Greenshot is free, open-source, and the built-in image editor is perfect (for my use-case, ymmv). ShareX is also FOSS but more well-known.

Cheers!

That’s dope, this still a thing? I have a PC with no use for it, would love to donate it to a good cause.
(I only ask because I’m 99% sure we’re in the same country)

This is the way. Don’t be scared to block communities or even users that posts content you’re not interested in. Eventually you will have curated your feed

Lol you’re catching some votes but we’ve strayed from what OP was asking.
OP asking about beauty standards and people are straight up saying shit like “overalls” and “big boobs”.
Not bad opinions on their own but far from beauty standards
I tag people that never fail to find something to argue about, obvious trolls, bad faith / sea lion conversationalists and so on. If I encounter them again and they show the same behaviour as a pattern, I fully block them.
I also use it for more fun stuff, like who is overly helpful, friendly or who recommended a good book. This way, if I see them again I get reminded of the positive interaction from before`
edit: @[email protected] you might want to replace “tag” with “label” or something, people think you mean username @tagging and don’t read the body of your post

Gaming is apparently hitting all the buttons on the controller all the time

Do they work world wide?

How do you know they are “in their right mind”?

Thanks! That clears up a lot. Appreciate the paraphrasing too.
You’re making assumptions about how they work based on your intuition
Small difference: I made the assumption that the simplified version was exactly how it works, as in, taking the comment at face value.

It’s starting to make sense, thanks. I’ll try to keep scaled to my subscriptions, although I like “All” for the variety.

But 0 upvotes divided by any age is still 0. So Hot = 0, and Scaled would then be 0 divided by community size, and therefore also still 0.
On hot, I guess you managed to open it with the exact same second?
It was in response to “Scaled is like Hot”, so I wasn’t looking at the Hot page at that moment, but I tried to convey how it doesn’t make sense that a post with 0 upvotes get to the top of Scaled

But these are 3 posts with 0 upvotes that recently have been posted, how is that “Hot”, let alone at the top of “Hot”?

Can’t do that at work here. Also, I realize 99% of it is AI generated, so I’m not really interested

Thanks for your service, this makes this website a better place 🫡

Do yourself a favor and starting blocking users (bots) and communities you will never be interested in. After a while, your feed starts getting a lot cleaner and more interesting.
The internet is too noisy to read everything, so tailor the content to stuff you will engage with for a happier experience!
edit: oh you said “not logged in”, which might mean that you already blocked the bot on your account. Still, the advice stands for anyone reading along
I’m not entirely sure this is what you’re after, but “reddit” makes it a lot easier to fix software issues, at least with Windows. Regular search engines are SEO’d to death or you get the Microsoft forums where a “experienced expert” suggests steps OP already performed to then recommend a full system wipe.
I wish Lemmy had this trove of info and I try to put solutions on here as they are asked, but it will take time
