I would hope that it would just be a playground just for adults. Don’t know why people just lose their spark for playground shenanigans in age. I would love to climb and jump around again. But there isn’t any place for that for adults.

Thanks for providing this. It is obvious you put a lot of time into this. Truly appreciated. I will have to look into these.
How did you find these yourself?
Ideally: Stand up and go for a walk or my stretching routine. Usually ends the tiredness.
Realistically: Balatro

Also California.
Yeah there wasn’t much. Only thing I heard about was a restaurant with marg deals and giving out small cute sombrero hats.

It is an important skill and confidence booster to approach people in general in public. If you are uncomfortable with women, then start with men.
If that is still uncomfortable, then that means you are uncomfortable to talking with strangers in general. Unfortunately, experience is the only way to combat this. Start small with chit chat in lines, compliment people on their shoes, etc.
I am currently 29 but work in payroll retirement auditing. So I actually know a little about people not retiring.
I work in the education system, and people who work in the education/public sector have a HARD time not coming back to work. Our retirement agencies have gotten stricter and stricter with retirees working after retirement.
Why? Well people who work in public and education system usually work their entire life in the industry. Especially teachers and admin. And they honestly don’t know what to do with themselves. They don’t know how to handle freedom.
They have been institutionalized. If you have seen shawshank redemption you will have a good understanding of what that means. Here’s a quick clip from the movie.

I have read testimonies from other people who have gone through economic/political instability and hardship. What i got out of it is that prepping will help for a week to a month maybe. But after that preppers just feel dumb after that as all that work didn’t mean much long term.
The only thing that universally matters is having community ties. Unfortunately… USA aren’t very community friendly or even have the opportunity to create strong local bonds. As all community events are during work hours so only retired people part take in those.

At the end of the day there is no reason not to. Not like it takes any effort or costs anything.
That being said, I usually won’t the closer I am to home/on my main commute. Why? Because I’m driving next to the same people every day. The same work truck with a giant butterfly on it and that one dumb ass looking cyber truck. Along with the other 100 other commuters the same day.

Does anyone know about any other self-hosted/open source projects that are like this? As in, “everyone” could find these useful?
Other ones I know about are Mealie (cookbook) and Warracker (Warranty Tracker).

Our modern day concept of ownership.

It really just depends on your climate, geography, and infrastructure.
Where is I was raised, it would be consistently 90-100 Fahrenheit throughout the summer. And one week that was always up to 110.
I had no ac, but a constant broken swamp cooler. So basically no real ac.
In the mornings and night when it did become cool, you would open all the windows and doors for the air and wind to blow through, and then about 9am you would close the windows and blinds and deal with the heat.
Sleeping through the worst parts of the heat is not a bad idea.

Second Geowizard. Chill British dude.
To answer the title question, you work out your body. That specifics of that question highly depends on your current situation. Like age, current fitness level, what you are training for (strength, cardio, weight loss, etc), and what you have access to.
