I quit watching after the movie when Paul Walker passed away. Tried to watch fast X (or whatever its name was) but quit immediately after the scene of “car jumps off a cliff, dude grabs a cable and gets to the other side”.
I miss the movies where it was actually about the cars, tuning and the people around it.

Two quotes/ statements from a book named “The Midnight Library” ;
“If you aim to be something you are not, you will always fail. Aim to be you. Aim to look and act and think like you. Aim to be the truest version of you. Embrace that you-ness. Endorse it. Love it. Work hard at it. And don’t give a second thought when people mock it or ridicule it. Most gossip is envy in disguise”.
“Never underestimate the big importance of small things”.

The moment this becomes an obligation for each person, no matter what, I’ll just quit Discord. I’m tired of stuff like this.
If people want to do bad stuff, they will find a way no matter what anyway.

Yeah, I have. Back then I was active in a lot of political and semi-political communities, at first it was pretty decent and people were polite, debates with actual facts and links to trustable sources.
After a while though, people become more hostile, insulting and debated with emotions and zero facts. I just grew tired of it and wasn’t really active in any other community. So I left for 4-6 months.
Then one day got bored, decided to return to Lemmy but unsubscribed from every political community and I straight up blocked anyone who’s being a douche. I now stick a few communities (Piracy, gaming and books).

Probably;

Yes, I hate it. I hate that it fills every image platform. It is not art at all.
It’s a fun toy thing and can make decent images but its not art and can never replace actual art. When you compare for example an anime art of someone who actually drew it and the AI image, the drawn art is 9 out of 10 times better.
It’s also petty pretty easy to spot whether an image is AI or drawn made.

Call me pessimistic, but I do think:
Certainly, we can do a lot to have more privacy, but it is an illusion to think that we have complete control over it. Especially with social media, jobs, and today’s technology.
I gave up on convincing people about privacy and all that. They don’t care and say the old crap “I have nothing to hide” but seem utterly perplexed when you tell them Facebook scandals (and then still keep using it).
People have chosen easy of use and laziness over privacy.
