This is such a small way of looking at things.
The best thing you can do is live according to your ethics and values. By setting an example.
Putting a sticker on says hey… you behave this way.

Take the plastic housing off of an upright column fan and turn it into an air blade.
I’m not joking, I have done this. It provides an amazing laminar (non turbulent) column of air that is so refreshing.

Squarez Deluxe.
I’ve been on a one-man promotion spree of that game for almost 20 years
It is now freeware, it’s available on DOSBox, and it is the best shape-packing game ever made - you cannot even debate me once you try it.

Same thing for me in Canada.
You cannot seriously buy into all of the values that Canada, as a country, has demonstrated for the last several hundred years.
You have to be the biggest ignoramus in the world to ignore how many social problems Canada (as an entity) is responsible for and fails to address in a meaningful ongoing way.

“cause” stickers
Shut the fuck up. Live your life in an ethical way, we do not need to see a sticker asserting what every decent person already knows is right
I find people who broadcast their ethical positions rarely live by them. Being ethical is a series of decisions on how you act, not what you tell people.

I watched a woman who represented herself as being a food expert, who also recommended extra virgin olive oil for all cooking purposes, especially where it was not suitable as the smoke point of the oil is out of alignment with the cooking needs of the other ingredients.
I mourn for billions and billions of olives wasted in food that must, by the rules of cooking, be bad. And for the hundreds of millions of people who have been wrongly informed by someone who’s celebrity gimmick overwhelms their technical ability.

If I can find it, I will edit it in.
There was a great America’s Test Kitchen episode where they did just this, and they talked about the oils that surface in the different cans, etc
edit: I could not locate the specific episode I was referring to. I could find other similar ones, but not the comprehensive breakdown I mentioned. ATK has changed a lot in the last several years, not surprised but a little disappointed.

It’s the curse of discovering good food, once you make it from scratch, you never want to eat the store trash again lol

No real answer but in a general sense I try to know that most things are a matter of perspective and truth is on a probability curve
This is my gym. The bar was picked out of the trash and it was an old broomstick someone used as a fire poker.

With body weight exercises and a small weight set you can make from junk, you can get an amazing body.
You start very light, and you just take baby steps from there, I can help you build a routine.
Most of the YouTube people are way too hyper focused on ‘blasting’ this and that, really you just need to do some simple exercises.

I looked it up
I can’t believe the director didn’t reshoot Keanu’s part like 200 times. What a fucking juxtaposition of talent, wow!!!

The block feature is the best thing that Lemmy has - I’ll think I’ll use it right now.

Well considering that I detest Adam Sandler, obv no.
He’s an irritating little shit who never grew out of being 5 years old. He’s not funny, he’s not charismatic, I hate his ugly little beady-eyed face.

You really have trouble connecting basic concepts don’t you

I can 100% confirm that the “discount” perception is a huge aspect of the decision making process for a purchase.
I sell a shitload of stuff on Facebook Marketplace because I buy, sell, fix, refurbish electronics and appliances
I know from experience that the way to sell something for $100, is to first post it for $120, and then 8 minutes later reduce the price to 100. People see the crossed out 120 and they think *oh my god this is my chance"!
I’ve been buying and selling for almost 30 years, I was like the first user on eBay LOL… This is such a baffling but real phenomenon! For example on ebay, if you want to get 30% more than market value, post your item for a dollar and let people fight! The idea of a deal, even when it doesn’t exist, is so potent.

Being an alleged Actress receiving Best Actress Award; Weeks to prepare; blows performance.

I think he has a career because he has serious dirt on somebody.

Female Keanu Reeves. Excruciatingly vanishing acting ability; gorgeous.
This old game called Squarez Deluxe.
I know it’s old, I know it has low resolution, I know it doesn’t meet the standard of modern gaming, but it’s (in my view obviously) the best shape packing game ever made.
Like destroys Tetris… Which can’t even hold a candle to this game. Not to say that Tetris is a bad game, it’s a brilliant game!
I just think Squarez Deluxe takes it to the next level and gives so much room for player creativity.
The basic just is that you have a play field, and with a short timer for each, you are given blocks which can be various 9x9 shapes that you rotate and move freely on the grid and place at will.
All of the complexity comes from the special blocks which can have positive, negative, or in between effects.
Your positive tools are scarce, but if you use them creatively and with forward probabilistic thinking, you can have amazing, hour-long sessions that you cannot look away from.
Some of the special blocks are goo traps that explode so shapes that pass by get stuck. Some are acid that let you destroy blocks at will and you can form your pieces into very unique shapes that tuck in exactly where you need them.
There are bombs, mines, missiles, playfield expanders/contractors, etc.
The first two modes get you acquainted with the mechanics, but Extreme Mode is where the game is played.
The original developer is a cool dude and he changed it to freeware so you can grab DOSBox and hit myabandonware or archive and be playing like in minutes.
