Oh hi there person who I’ve upset by expressing my opinion who is now wanting to go back through my post history to find something to use against me! If you’re reading this, it’s because you’ve already lost the argument :)

DLSS is amazing, if it’s available in a game I’m playing I use it.
Ray tracing and path tracing are incredible and the industry needs to quickly cut ties with all hardware that can’t do it. It makes game development significantly quicker, it looks better, and it has genuine gameplay advancements by the very nature of it (like being able to see reflections/shadows of off-screen enemies).

No, I’m telling them that the cute, locally owned retailers are in the mall.
Take discord for example - I’m in a small group with like 120ish other people who play an old game online. I also used to be on the subreddit which was small and not garbage unlike the majority of reddit, until I left along with a lot of the others for discord.
The point is there are tonnes of small sub communities on the big platforms. It helps with visibility and user base.

What “represented the internet” in your opinion?
“Small communities” still exist all over the internet, in far greater numbers than before. They exist on the giant social media platforms too. Discord, WhatsApp, facebook, reddit, etc all have millions of “small communities” on them.

Do you mean the raspberry pi is going to have all the storage attached to it, with the optiplex just running Plex/JellyFin/Emby?
How many devices will you be streaming to, and what are they? Will you need to transcode any media to play it on other devices?

It’s generally not just the battery though. A battery going completely dead in a recent mobile phone and not holding any charge whatsoever or even functioning is extremely rare.

If the phone doesn’t turn on then there’s something more than just the battery, and a new one won’t do any good.

iPhones are already one of the best phones around in terms of battery replacement- maybe not for DIY, but for the fact that Apple will replace your battery for you themselves for a very reasonable price.
https://support.apple.com/iphone/repair/battery-replacement
An iPhone 13 Pro battery replacement, done officially through Apple, is USD$89. They will replace your battery on models all the way back to the iPhone SE or iPhone 6. At that price I can’t understand why anyone would go third party/diy.
Even the newest 16 Pro Max is only $119 for a brand new battery fully installed officially by Apple. If you’ve got apple care it’s “free”.

They’re talking about the Jellyfin crew.

Gym memberships are insanely expensive
Wait until you see the price of weight plates and dumbbells.
You go to the gym to work out. You clearly don’t know how to work out, so go watch some exercise guides on YouTube.

Someone else set up your Plex server?

Cool, so you can finally admit you set Plex up wrong. Good job.

You set it up in the wrong way if you want to stream locally on your network.
It’s ok to admit that you made a mistake and it’s not plex’s fault. Just take some responsibility for your actions.

You’re not lying, you’re just not good at networking and/or setting up Plex.
Plex does NOT charge for streaming on your own network. If it is saying that you need to pay it’s because you’ve set your network(s) or Plex up wrong.

You were the one that made the claim that “software doesn’t have huge ongoing costs”, which is what I said is wrong. Lots of software does, as you now agree.

Yeah, anyone subscribing to girls on onlyfans is an idiot.
How are they incels? They’re involuntarily celibate. They’re paying girls on the internet to pretend to like them because real girls don’t.
Onlyfans isn’t a “scam”. People are paying for porn and they’re getting it. Where’s the scam?

Not sure if you’re aware, but it wasn’t written for Sunny. They just licensed it for use.

“Vulnerable”? No, we need to stop trying to paint every idiot as a victim. Incels aren’t “vulnerable”, they’re just losers.

Saying software does not have huge ongoing costs shows you’ve never worked on any huge software system. My works ongoing costs for hosting/scaling/storing data are millions of dollars a year.
Sorry but I just don’t care. Sometimes we need to just leave some people behind in order to move forward. Devs having to cater to people with 10 year old potato hardware is holding the industry back.
