This kind of circular bullshit is exactly what makes modern day America pathetic.

There used to be a can-do attitude here in this country. People would look at a problem and go ‘okay lets fucking fix it’ and then we would (or at least fucking try). Now, way too many fucking people just want to sit and bitch about problems and something not being perfect, and refuse to do anything to fix said problems. This can’t-do attitude bullshit is fucking infuriating.

That man was a staple of my childhood, and him passing felt like the final nail in the coffin to where my childhood ended.

Honestly that’d be funny as fuck.

It’s 50:50 two things.

Some Wardrobe guys don’t like dressing actors as ‘real’ soldiers, so they fudge things. The other is that something will aesthetically look ‘better’ than the real thing so they just go with that. I’ve worked on a few military projects and it’s entirely dependent on the military costumer and what they want to do.

One picture I was a Russian mercenary and they threw random ranks on everyone. The costumer thought I was nice so he gave me an FSB velcro patch that I got to keep, which was pretty cool. Another I played a SEAL and we had some well known SEAL dudes behind the film, so they were very attention to detail on everything so that was really cool.

The other side of this is, ‘it’s a movie suspend some disbelief.’

The idea that every single aspect of a show or movie needs to line up and be ‘realistic’ is silly, and frankly needs to just die.

It’s pretend.

Because it’s a movie trope. And if people did it the ‘right’ way people wouldn’t believe it.

Like, phones sound like ‘phones’ because we have the tech to make them sound crystal clear, but people don’t want that they want the phone sound.

Conquer the things stopping you from what you want to do. This can be poverty, people, or circumstance. See those things that you have beaten lie at your feet, and revel in the outcries of the things that you now have bested.

When I got to know my gf’s mom and realized I didn’t have massive levels of stress and anxiety around her like I do with my mom.

So far it’s been pretty good personally.

I work in stunts, and started training with a new stunt team that does some pretty cool projects. I’m not a member yet, but I keep getting invited to trainings and communicating with people in the team, so it’s been going pretty good. They have a few films announced for the upcoming year, so, hopefully I get to work on a few of them!
