The Strider reboot. I wouldn’t have minded another one of them, but I guess I’ll replay it again instead.

Interesting. Thanks.

Probably. It’s a fairly different market in Aus than in the US, although we’re seeing an increase in Dodge RAMs and the like being imported, usually by the same cashed-up bogans that have apparently decided that Rangers aren’t compensatory enough. I realise even those are fairly ‘small’ by US standards. Y’all are insane with your trucks as daily drivers.

Yeah, probably none of that is going to work without lots of tinkering.
Yeah, pass then. That’s what I suspected. Thanks.

In my case, it’s a direct drive steering wheel and pedals. They make cool stuff.
I also run a Quest2 for VR through Virtual Desktop, and Assetto Corsa modded to the hilt. It can be cranky enough getting it all stable on Windows. If I could be sure that all runs on Linux with minimal fucking around I’d probably switch.
I’ve got about 25GB of space on my C: drive. Would a dual boot be viable until I can be sure everything is working?

How is it with Moza products?

The Queensland digital I.D./driver’s licence can already do this, and we’re hardly ahead of the curve on this. The only current limitation is companies accepting it.

I’m seriously considering switching, but every thread about how ‘easy’ it is always devolves into a bunch of arcane computer-speak that I’m really not interested in learning at this point. I really just use my PC for web browsing and simracing/gaming these days, and I don’t want to need a computer science degree to do that.

I don’t. Just the dickheads driving them. It’s beyond me why they choose that particular vehicle, but there’s definitely a pattern.
Hell yeah. I even bought one of these.*
There’s an old saying: “God only made so many perfect heads. The rest he covered with hair.”

Ford Ranger drivers, and to a lesser extent large dual-cab utes in general. Cashed up bogans to a man. They just have a reckless disregard for other road users and take up far too much space. They’re all registered as ‘commercial’, so they’re a tax dodge as well.

Or they’re spoiled brats.

“I’ve got a bathtub and an imagination; I’m staying indoors this summer. That way I can listen to music I like.” - Bill Hicks.

Hoodie and shorts is standard winter wear here in Queensland.

“Jesus take the wheel”
I’ve read the gospels, and I’m pretty sure he doesn’t have a driving licence.

It’s also a fundamental misunderstanding of the character. It’s like all they know about him is the name and the logo.

They haven’t invented locks?

Social media is a great idea, honestly. What’s ruined it is the same thing that ruins everything - money men.

My jokes.
Pretty much that, except ‘rolling coal’ would get them a massive fine over here. Edit: not a fine initially, but they’ll tell you to fix it, but it is finable ($495 and 2 demerit points)
