All the time, but I think I’ve just got a lot of emotion that I seldom let out, and that’s the only time I can let it out in an appropriate way. I’m not too fussed about it honestly.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Have you ever had the realization mid-argument, that you were very wrong?
7·7 months agoNot like wrong wrong, most of my big realisations happen by myself. I consider recognising others points and being willing to modify my ideas when appropriate an invaluable cognitive skill. It’s more difficult sometimes than others, but I’m not going to end up as a closed minded old man at least.
Which particular part? I’m interested and somewhat outside of the situation.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What’s a thing you miss that you’re 90% sure was objectively awful?
1·7 months agoFrom what I understand it got very wild after a time, I can see the appeal if I look at it from the right angle

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Why does it seem like so many (young) men these days flock over to types like Andrew Tate?
7·8 months agoI’d argue there’s a niche that’s not being filled by standard community interactions in regards to learn how your society thinks you should act, and that’s where the scum starts crawling in. These guys wouldn’t have an audience without there being a pre-existing market for their bullshit. The pipeline starts really early now as well with kids being allowed on the internet, and it’s just so fucking disheartening. I got a lot of bullshit fed into me when I was younger, but I can’t imagine how much gets directly beamed into your brain nowadays.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•LCD vs OLED, does it matter to you? Or do you not care either way?
10·8 months agoOleds look great, but I’m severely allergic to the concept of burn in. Not interested in technology that has such a comparatively short life span, and don’t want to think about auto hiding UI elements either.
It has been 5 years. Next door has been doing construction for the past 9 months, they have destabilized two of the property border trees that could potentially land on my house. They have literally lashed them to the frame of the house in the meantime at least. So I’m a little biased here haha
The stress is as bad as you make it usually though. Sometimes you just have to let things be suboptimal for a while to maintain your mental health.
